- Program Structure & Intensity: The Intensive Outpatient Program at Milestone Treatment Center involves 9 to 18 hours of group therapy per week (3-5 days a week, 3 hours a day), a minimum of weekly individual sessions, and optional family therapy. Our flexible and frequent group times are designed to meet the demands of everyday life.
- Core Focus & Skill Development: Our IOP program focuses on helping folks use knowledge gained in individual therapy and group care, hone coping skills, develop sober support networks, and engage in community-based support groups.
- Typical Duration: The typical length of stay in Milestone's IOP is approximately 6 to 10 weeks, which can be extended or shortened based on individual client needs and treatment plan objectives.
- Ideal Candidates & Benefits: IOPs are recommended for individuals in early treatment stages or those transitioning from inpatient settings, offering targeted care while allowing clients to maintain work and family responsibilities. Case management services are included for support with legal, employment, medical, and education needs.
- Cost-Effectiveness & Insurance: Compared to inpatient treatment, IOPs are generally more affordable as they do not include in-house accommodations or prepared meals.
